Helps you identify and resolve difficult feelings in a safe, confidential space.
Counselling offers you a safe, confidential space to discuss issues, identify negative ways of coping and help you to develop a greater sense of self-awareness.
After time, it can lead to increased self-esteem, better communication and improved relationships, as well as the resolution of specific difficulties.
Anyone can benefit from counselling. We all go through difficult, confusing times when it can often be hard to talk to those closest to us. Counselling can help with relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, illness, bereavement and loss. It is also useful during times of change, including the menopause, retirement or pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
What to expect…
You will be able to talk about your feelings, concerns, health issues and ideas with your therapist in a safe, confidential environment. Different techniques to bring about change will be offered depending on the therapy chosen.
Your counsellor will listen to you attentively and objectively without judging or criticism. They will tailor the sessions to suit your individual needs and work at a pace that suits you. Confidentiality will be observed by your counsellor at all times.
For certain conditions, treatments can be more effective when combined with another therapy. Ask your practitioner for their recommendation.
