What to expect…
Your acupuncturist will ask for a full case history, take the pulse of your energy flow and look at your tongue. They’ll then decide which points to work on and insert fine, sterile needles to help rebalance your body’s energy flow and help treat underlying cause of the symptoms.
You may feel a tingling or dull aching sensation when the needles are inserted into your skin. Moxa, a smouldering herb, may also be used to warm the acupuncture points, while cupping is another technique used to disperse areas of congestion.
