A gentle hands-on therapy, to help correct imbalances in certain structures of the body
Osteopaths are trained to ‘feel’ disruptions in the muscles, bones and ligaments. They then use a variety of techniques, including manipulation, massage and stretching, to help restore balance and encourage the natural healing process of your body.
Aches and pains, arthritic, back, joint and rheumatic pain, muscle spasms, circulatory and digestive problems, cramp, lumbago, fibromyalgia, neuralgia, the inability to relax and minor sports injuries.
What to expect…
Your Osteopath will begin with a detailed consultation and will be interested to see any relevant X-rays or blood test results you may have.
They will ask you to perform some simple movements and will feel for any points of weakness or excessive strain in your body. They will then use the most suitable massage, rhythmic joint movement, stretching and gentle release techniques to address your individual needs.
Advice on posture and exercise is often given to help improve your overall wellbeing.
